The Psychology and Guidance Service (SPO) and the Inclusive Education Office at Escola Ave Maria promote and support the intellectual, physical, mental, social, moral and emotional development of students, as well as the relationship between the family, school and community triad.

The responsibilities of the SPO and the Inclusive Education Office are as follows:

• Individualised Psychopedagogical assessment and monitoring
• Support for students’ personal and academic development
• Promotion of learning and inclusion strategies
• Active collaboration with family, school and community
• Support for teachers in implementing inclusive pedagogical practices

The SPO and the Inclusive Education Office are formed by the permanent team Ana Passos and Filipa Figueiredo, who are part of the Multidisciplinary Team for Support to Inclusive Education (EMAEI) at Escola Ave Maria and work together with other elements of the educational community – pedagogical management, teachers, external experts who support students and parents – in order to promote the well-being and success of students.
