Get to know our facilities
We encourage all interested families to make a personalised visit to the school. Our Pedagogical directors will introduce you to some relevant aspects of our educational project and pedagogical methodologies of the various school years and will show you our educational facilities and the school environment. Families will be able to meet our team and our pupils, ask questions and clarify any doubts that they may have. All information regarding the enrollment process and admissions requirements at Escola Ave Maria will also be provided.

Admission process
The admission process at Escola Ave Maria is structured to allow families to get to know the school, the educational project, and the team. It also allows the Pedagogical directors to identify any characteristics and specific needs necessary for each child, enabling a possible integration into our school.
The parent/carer in charge of the child´s education will have to complete an online pre-registration form with the applicant and family´s details expressing an interest in the admissions process. The pre-registration is free and non-biding, requiring further formalisation.
After filling out the Pre-registration Form, families receive a link to schedule a pedagogical visit to the school.
During this visit the Pedagogical directors will advise you of some relevant aspects of our educational project and pedagogical methodologies of the various school years and will show you our educational facilities and environment. Families will be able to meet our team and our pupils, ask questions and clarify any doubts that they may have. All information regarding the enrollment process and admissions requirements at Escola Ave Maria will also be provided.
This visit also allows the Pedagogical directors to get to know the child better, his/her journey and the family dynamics, as well as their expectations and needs.
Upon the explicit expression of interest by families in formalising their child’s application for admission to Escola Ave Maria, the school makes the final decision based on the prevailing admission criteria and available places, promptly informing the families.
An Enrollment Form is sent to the families to complete and formalize the registration of their child in the school.
After payment of the registration fee, the vacancy is assured.
The integration of new students at Escola Ave Maria is carried out on an individual basis, with particular attention given to the needs of each family and each child.
The Pedagogical direction and the class teacher will book an Anamnesis Interview with the parents to gather information related to the child´s development, health, school journey, family setting, amount others, which will enable the school to know the child´s characteristics for a better integration in the new school.
At the interview, families can also get general information regarding the list of required school materials, school uniform and equipment, school meals, timetables, among others.
Thereafter, the school will send to the families all the necessary information, further instructions, username, and passwords about the general functioning of the school, specifically from the different digital platforms.
The Pedagogical team will monitor the student´s adaptation to the new school. After a while, families will be able to book a new meeting with the class teacher/Pedagogical director for an update on the student´s progress.

- Student’s document of identity or birth certificate.
- Guardian’s identity document.
Photocopy
- Updated vaccination card.
Originals
- Registration form (filled-in and signed).
- Medical certificate attesting the student’s aptitude for attendance of an educational establishment, according to legislation in force.
- 1 passport size photograph . Contract of services provided (for Nursery students only).
